What is a DPMU?

The DPMU is a packaged system containing all forensic equipment, instrumentation, support equipment, and administrative supplies required to operate an incident morgue facility under field conditions or support an existing morgue facility.

The DPMU also carries computers and related equipment to support the Family Assistance Center and Information Resource Center in the management of postmortem and antemortem information.

The DPMU is transportable via standard flat bed trailer, military cargo air transport, commercial cargo air transport or in the 53’ pre-packaged trailers

The DPMU provides additional capacity to the local Coroner or Medical Examiner and each of the three units contain over 10,000 items valued at over $2.7M.
